14 July 2008

If you’re planning to attend university in 2009, you can meet with expert advisers from The University of Queensland at the 2008 Tertiary Studies Expo (TSXPO) this week.

UQ representatives will be out in force at to help prospective students identify the degree programs that best match their talents and aspirations.

TSXPO will be held at the RNA Showgrounds on July 19 and 20 between 10am and 4pm.

TSXPO is a good opportunity for people to sample the range and depth of UQ programs and to ask questions ranging from accommodation, admissions, program content and entry requirements, to campus facilities.

UQ will also hold further education and career seminars during the event.

Seminar topics are in the areas of law, economics, business, nursing, midwifery, hospitality, veterinary science, agriculture, arts and human movement studies.

Seminars would provide prospective students with more detailed information about possible career paths and particular areas of study.

Prospective students will also have the opportunity to examine the University more closely by visiting the UQ campuses at St Lucia, Ipswich and Gatton during open days.

The St Lucia Open Day on August 3 (9am-3pm) will have information on all undergraduate and postgraduate programs across all UQ campuses.

The Ipswich Open Day on August 20 (3.30pm-7.30pm) will focus on Ipswich programs and the Gatton Open Day on August 24 (9.30am-3pm) will concentrate on Gatton programs.
